Benoit Harris

I was born and raised here on Vancouver Island. And, from the ocean to the forests and mountains, I see no reason to leave one of the most beautiful places on earth. A trip to India taught me a lot about the diversity of our world and also dramatically increased my appreciation for this wonderful part of our country. It also showed me how valuable local businesses and local people are to the community they are involved in. I strive to help build the local business community with my own actions, and hope this inspires others to do the same.

After I graduated from high school in Victoria, and worked a couple of different jobs, I found myself a sales job at a new car dealership here in town, which I enjoyed for almost 7 years. But ultimately, I wanted to do something more hands-on. So when an old high school friend asked me for some help working for his concrete company, I jumped at the opportunity. From part-time to eventual full-time hours, I worked with him for a while, before he ultimately decided to make a change for himself. He encouraged me to continue on with it, and that's when I started Victoria Concrete Surfaces.
